After you gave me proper instructions as to how to burn a DVD, literally in seconds, I should be too embarrassed to tell you that I spent hours Saturday searching the great web, including Microsoft’s site, for a solution to the problem I encountered each time I put in a DVD. One would think since the solution was so simple that there would have been hundreds of helpful hints. I never knew I was not suppose to use Auto Play – which takes the user to selections, including formatting, which labels the DVD. Who knew I ‘burning” by doing this? After you left, Peter and I played your disc on our TV – fabulous!!! Seriously, Jeff, we are so grateful we have you in our lives. We are blessed by your talents and proficiency. Description Of Work: NeoTec set up my new computer. He took the time to make sure that I was comfortable with the new set up. This computer has Windows 8 which is very different from the XP that I had before. He loaded all the software that I needed and he also brought material from the hard drive. I hadn't remembered the pictures that I had stored on the old computer. The new one was already set up. I told him not to worry about it but he went out to his car for his laptop and took the hard drive out of the old computer. He took a lot of extra time to find all my pictures and put them on the new computer. He is very, very good at what he does and is extremely professional and personable. I will be calling him for all my future computer needs. I will also be taking classes from him. Member Comments: He arrived right on time and began the process of taking down the old computer and setting up the new one. He retrieved all my files for me. He also explained how the new Operating System worked in detail and made sure that I was comfortable enough to spend some time (on my own) using the new system and told me to call at any time with any questions. He was here about 2 hours and charged a very reasonable $150.00. I would highly recommend him to my friends and anyone who needs help with a computer. This was actually the second time I contacted Neo-Tec. The first time I called, he came over within a half hour and attempted to fix my problem. He was here over an hour and everything seemed to be fixed. However, I had to call him back and he gave me some instructions over the phone. When this didn't work either, he took over my computer and spent at least forty five minutes trying to correct the problem, which he did. There was no charge for this. On a subsequent call, after my computer displayed the blue screen, he told me it was shot. (This explained all the previous problems trying to fix my issues) He recommended a Dell or a Hewlett Packard and I purchased an HP. The visit on the 19th was when he installed the new computer. - Coleen G.

Internet almost impossible to use. It took forever to load a page and I kept getting script warnings and for example, couldn't even log into yahoo. If I used the side scroll on the page, it would take at least a minute for it to react if at all. These are just some examples. Neotec cleaned out the clutter and now it is like a new computer. Before Neotec, I called Geek squad and they told me their computer system was down (how ironic)! Neotec was available right away and it took an hour and a half to clean up my computer. Jeff "unstuck" my husband's work computer, upgraded our anti-virus programs, gave my computer a tune-up and connected our new Google TV to our wireless system. Member Comments: First, we have used Neotec before and have always had excellent service in a timely fashion that we could count on to be helpful. My husband called Jeff on Tuesday night in a panic since his work computer had frozen. Jeff arrived at 8 AM the next morning, resolved the issue with the laptop, upgraded all the anti-virus software, did a complete scan to check for other issues and answered some questions my husband had about software. Then Jeff addressed my PC, also upgrading anti-virus programs, eliminating programs I no longer needed, doing a scan to check for other issues and generally making sure my computer was functioning at it's best. Jeff then hooked up our Google TV. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and is usually able to come out on short notice. I have recommended him many times to my friends and neighbors. I called him in to repair an old broken computer. He took it apart and let me know that , unfortunately, it was not worth repairing. I'm glad that he was honest enough to tell me that, instead of making a sale. My four year old computer basically crashed, & I could not get it operating with the usual array of reccommended fixes. I called Jeff & set up an appointment for the following day. He arrived on time, as scheduled, & proceeded to try a number of remedies to get it working again, only to determine, as I suspected, that the computer had a hardware problem that could not be inexpensively & easily fixed - it had basically died. Thankfully, Jeff was able to directly wire the hard drive, thus bypassing the inoperative & unrepairable operating system, and retrieve most of my vital files (including several income tax & software backup folders) that would have taken me many, many labor intensive hours to redo. These he copied onto a thumbdrive & transferred to a laptop computer that I also own. Member Comments: I was impressed with Jeff's obvious knowledge about computers, and the manner in which he efficiently cycled through & eliminated as nonworkable the usual solutions towards fixing an apparently unrepairable computer operating system, and managed to retrieve and save the important folders & files I needed by directly wiring the hard drive . Having gone through a number of computers, I recognized that this particular one could not, & should not, be repaired (all have a limited life & cannot be inexpensively & easily repaired), and that it was best to retrieve the important files that I needed, and merely transfer them to a newly-purchased computer. Jeff proved himself on an overall basis to be not only knowledgeable about computers, but professional, courteous, and prompt. Computer Repair Eliminate Virus Program Installation Member Comments: My computer crashed after being infected with a virus. I had family videos, pictures and work files that I now had no access to foolishly did not have them backed up. I called Jeff and he was available to come out the very next day to my home to perform the services. He indicated on the phone it would take about 2 hours which is exactly how long it took. Jeff deleted the viruses, cleaned up other junk as well as installed a new anti-virus and recommended a back-up system for my computer. He was very professional, on time and answered all questions I had. He did not try to sell me on any additional services I did not ask him for. Our computer was as broken as can be. We couldn't get to any screen - just frightening blackness. The computer (a ZT) was just three years old. Jeff came over and recovered all of our data, somehow, and evaluated the state of the old computer. I was VERY worried about the data, but he put it all on our external hard drive. The verdict was that our old motherboard was kaput. We could have replaced it, but Jeff (correctly) advised us that it would not be worth the money invested - we'll be better off with a new desktop. My computer would not start - would get locked up on the Windows screen. Computer was non repairable but Jeff was able to recover everything on the hard drive. Member Comments: Unfortunately (for me) I am a repeat customer. The first time Jeff repaired my computer and got it back to working how it should. I had an old computer and knew it was only a matter of time before it broke again but I was not ready to purchase a new one. Well, a few months later the computer died so I called Jeff again. He came out promptly and tried to fix my computer. Jeff said it was non repairable but he was able to recover everything on my hard drive. I did not have an external hard drive so Jeff offered to go out and pick one up for me since I had a newborn baby and would be difficult to get one. Jeff cleared up my husband's computer which had been running rather slow. He rearranged things on my computer to free up additional space on my hard drive. He moved my iTunes to an external hard drive. Member Comments: When I first called, his voice mail did not pick up the call. He returned my call very promptly and apologized for his voice mail not functioning so I could leave a message. We scheduled an appointment for 3 days later which was a Sunday. Love the fact that he was able to come on a Sunday when my husband was home to ask his own questions and get answers directly instead of me forgetting half of it! Jeff arrived promptly and got right to work. He was very easy to talk to and didn't geek speak me! I manage our i-Tunes accounts, all four of them, from my computer and had no space left on my hard drive. He moved the i-Tunes library to an external hard drive and created a short cut on my desk top to access it (which was great for the computer idiot I am)! Jeff connected my wireless printer, checked the connections I made myself, transferred the data from my old computer to the new tower and wiped the old tower clean so it could be recycled safely. Jeff looked at the new system, made changes and adjustments to make it work more efficiently, installed a free security system on the tower, adjusted my mouse operation and taught me the key features of Windows 7 that he felt would be the most useful. He also evaluated our wireless network, made suggestions and then provided a device to create a wired system to prevent me from being constantly kicked off the wireless connection. Member Comments: I purchased a new computer tower, monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse and a wireless printer with the hopes that I could install it all myself. When the printer would not connect, I checked Angie's List for computer help and found Neotech and Jeff Bingham. What a joy!
